Our School Holiday Beginner^ Lessons at Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink are a fun way to learn the basic skills of ice skating.
- 30min group lesson followed by 90min public skating session.
- Free skate hire and helmet hire.
- Family friendly environment and great way to meet new friends
- Accredited and experienced instructors ensure a safe and fun learning environment
- Provides a good introduction for joining our Learn to Skate program and ice sports
^School Holiday Lessons are for beginner skaters only. If you are already attending our structured group lessons in our Learn to Skate Programs and are in Novice 1 or above, these School Holiday Lessons may not be suitable.
First time attending a School Holiday Lesson
Arrive 30 minutes prior to your lesson start time to allow time for parking, rink entry and to get fitted for skates. This is to ensure you are ready to commence your lesson on time.
What to wear
Dress warmly and bring gloves, socks, long pants and jumper. Bring an inline helmet if you have one or you may borrow one of ours from skate hire.
Dates & Times
- 30 minute group lesson with accredited and experienced coach 10:00am – 10:30am
- Please arrive at 9:30am, as you are required to start your lesson strictly at 10:00am (late comers may not be accommodated).
- 1.5 hours Public Skating 10:30am – 12:00pm included with purchase of a School Holiday Lesson.
- Free skate rental on lesson day (if required)

Our special offer is for purchasing multiple tickets for our school holiday lessons.
3 tickets for $80 or 5 tickets for $120.
These may be multiple tickets for one skater on different days, or for multiple skaters on the same day.
Tickets must be purchased in the same transaction, and the discount will automatically be applied at checkout. Eg. if you purchase 4 tickets, you would pay $110 (3 for $80 plus 1 at $30).
It is advisable to arrive 30 minutes before the start time to find parking, enter the rink, and fitting of your skates. You should be ready to step onto the ice for the lesson at the posted start time of 10.00am.
